Cinnamon Knots

Every once in a while I love to bake something with cinnamon,

to get the wonderful smell of it in the Kitchen.

These little Knots are fun to make.

Sugar, Salt, Water, Milk, Eggs, Butter, Flour, Yeast.

 

Cinnamon Knots
Mix all the Ingredients to form a soft Dough

Combine Sugar, Cinnamon, Flour and food coloring.

Cinnamon Knots
Divide the dough in 30 -32 gr and form a ball. Let the balls rest for 10 min. Roll them length wise 2.5 inch, let them raise for 10 min. Roll them about 9 inch long.

Fold one end under the knot.

Dip in melted Butter and than in sugar with cinnamon.

After Baking them for 13 min at 350F, let cool completely and dip in dipping.

It’s coffee time!

 

Ingredients

Dough:

1 tsp.  Yeast

1/4 Cup Warm Water

1 Cup Warm Milk

1/2 Cup Melted Butter

1/2 tsp. Salt

3 Eggs

5 Cups Flour

 

Sugar:

1 Cup Sugar

1 Tbsp. Flour

1 tsp. ground Cinnamon

4 drops of red Food Coloring

 

Dipping:

11/2 Cup Powder Sugar

1/8 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream

1/4 Cup Milk

1/2 tsp. Vanilla

 

Instructions

For the Dough mix al the ingredients together in a mixer and mix well for 10 min.

Place the dough in a floured bowl. Let it rise for 30 min.

Punch the dough down and let it rise again for 30 min.

Divide the dough in 30 -32 gr and form a ball. Let the balls rest for 10 min.

Roll them length wise 2.5 inch long, let them raise for 10 min.

Roll them about 9 inch long. Make a Knot.

Fold one end under the knot and the other

end over the knot.

In  a small bowl melt 1/3 cup Butter.

In an other bowl mix all the Sugar Ingredients.

Dip the Knot in the Butter and than dip in the sugar.

Place in a cookie sheet, let them rise again for 30 min.

Bake for 13 min at 350F.  Wait until completely cooled

then mix the dipping ingredients for the dipping and dip the Knots.
