Every time I decide to bake these things, it’s just

a little  piece of heaven down here on earth where

everything seems to be so unfair a and corrupt you can

enjoy these little things and forget all the bad things

for a moment.

First Cook the Syrup. Divide into 6,  9 inch round sheets. (I love to sprinkle pecans over the syrup)

Ingredients for the dough.

Form into a soft dough.

Divide the dough into 12 equal size balls. Roll each ball out the size of the dish.

Place over the syrup and sprinkle wit cinnamon sugar. Top with another dough.

Cut the 2 layer dough in 8 pieces, don’t cut the center.

Twist the 8 pieces .

Let the rise for half an hour then bake them at 350F for 20 min or until golden brown.

Once they are done place them upside down into a plate.

 

Ingredients:

Syrup

1 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar

2/3 Cup Maple Syrup

1 1/3 Cup Butter

Bring to boil and cook for 3 minutes.  Divide into 6 pie plates.

Dough

1 1/2 Cup warm Water

1/2  Cup warm Milk

1/2 Cup Sugar

1/2 Cup Oil

7 1/2 Cup Flour

1 1/2 Tbs. Yeast

2 Tsp. Salt

2 Eggs

Cinnamon Sugar

1 Cup Sugar

1 TBS Flour

1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon

Instructions:

Combine all the ingredients to form a soft dough. Let it rise for 1 hour, punch it down and let it rise for 3/4 of an hour.

Divide the dough in 12 balls. Roll the dough out to the size of the sheet (9 inch). Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Roll out another dough

and place it on top of the cinnamon sugar.  Cut it like a Pizza, don’t cut the center. Twist them, let the rise for 1/2 an hour and bake the at

305F for 20 minutes or until golden. Once they are done place the upside down  and enjoy!
